Golden Fall along I435
Most everyone who knows me knows that I love the fall foliage. The colors, the texture, even the smell of fall are some of my very favorite things. So I want to share that a little, as much as I can anyway.Today is overcast, cool, threatening rain. As hard as it is to believe, it's often days like this when the color on the trees just pops out at you. It was like that as I drove down I435, south from 63rd Street to Bannister Road. The golden yellow of the trees along that stretch of hiway almost glowed! I had to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road. They were some of the most spectacular color I've seen so far.
I'll be reporting on other colorful areas I come across this fall.
If you know of some notable fall color, please share it with me, and the rest of the readers of this column. Fall in Kansas City can be gorgeous!
