Ebayitis

Haphazardous, a local blog that posts some GREAT photography, mentioned today that "...Ebay is my new favorite vice." The post goes on to mention some new cameras scored on the worlds biggest rummage sale. (Congrats, by the way!).

I have to admit to having the same addiction to Ebay. As my brother once said, "Ebay is where you find those things that you never knew existed but you can't live without.". My own Ebayitis first showed up with a fountain pen addiction, and has grown to include books, computer parts, clothing, and my current flair up, vintage post cards.

While I do enjoy getting out and about in antique stores and flea markets, and perusing any stashes of old postcards and paperpenalia that I might find, I must admit that going online, browsing through a couple of hundred targeted listings of Kansas City postcards, and placing a bid or two is extremely enjoyable. As the weather changes, with winter looming on the horizon, I'm sure I'll spend more time at this endeavor. But what the hey! Most of my postcards now DO come to me through the mail, just as they were intended to!
