Make Me Smile Monday - There's No Place....

I spent a wonderful week in St. Louis. My brain is full of all the technical details of databases and operating systems that I was sent there to learn. My soul is full of the churches, art, architecture, and monuments that I was fortunate enough to visit. I had very enjoyable drives both to and from the city on the Mississippi. I saw things, heard things, tasted things, that will remain in my memory for a very long time to come.

And yet, just like Dorothy in last night's presentation of The Wizard of Oz, I must confess that there is no place like home. The stir of the heart as I topped a rise and saw the familiar Kansas City skyline in the distance is one of the most pleasurable of feelings in life. It made me smile.
