Make Me Smile Monday - Memories of Sundays

The Chiefs pulled off another win yesterday, whipping the Seattle Seahawks 35-28! I'm STILL smiling about that!

I've been a Chiefs fan ever since they came to KC. Lenny Dawson is still one of my sports heroes.

The greatest thing to me is sharing time with my Dad watching the Chiefs. Like so many kids growing up in the 60's, my Dad and I didn't always see eye to eye on things. But we've always enjoyed watching the Chiefs together. It's one of the most pleasurable "father and son" activites that we've shared for 40 years now.

Dad's had some problems the last couple of years, and they've come to make me realize that time to spend with those you love is a very limited thing. That makes it even more precious. Sharing a Chiefs game on a beautiful Kansas City afternoon, like yesterday, is another jewel in the treasure chest of collected memories that I keep. It's ESPECIALLY nice when the Chiefs win! GO CHIEFS!
