MISSING - 18 10 Story High Hot Air Balloons

OK, maybe I'm admitting something I'll be embarrassed about, but somehow I lost 28 hot air balloons!

I was up Saturday morning at 4:15AM. Made coffee, fueled up Pearl the Wonder Jeep, and made the treck across town to The Woodlands. I was going to watch the hot air balloon competition, which was supposed to be part of the The Great American Barbecue event being held there this weekend. It was a beautiful morning, very calm and quiet at 6am, the time given for the start of the balloon flights. The barbequers were just starting to stir. The smoke from their woodfired cookers was wafting through the air. Birds were singing. I was happy.... until I finally had to admit I COULDN'T FIND ANY HOT AIR BALLOONS!

I drove all around the area. I sat and watche dthe skies in hopes of seeing the stately form of a hot air balloon. I never did see any! Did anyone else? Did I just not know where to look? The directions on the website stated "Balloon Field at the SW entrance of the Woodlands". I think that's where I was.

What happened to the balloons?????
