Plaza Art Fair - 76 Years of Beauty in KC

This coming weekend, September 22, 23, and 24, will see the 75th presentation of a Kansas City tradition, the Plaza Art Fair. More than 300,000 are expected to show up to view the work of 230 artists from 36 states, making this one of the top 5 art shows in the country.

The fair will cover over 9 blocks in the Country Club Plaza, featuring various mediums including ceramics, digital art, fiber, glass, graphics and printmaking, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, pastels, photography, sculpture and wood. The visual arts won't be the only delights awaiting the art lovers. Works of culinary, musical, and interactive art will also entice art fair attendees with wonderful food, magnificent music and interactive art experiences for all ages. Surely all will find something of interest and enchantment.

The 2006 Plaza Art Fair showcase artist is Dana Forrester of Independence, MO. You motorheads will really love Dana's art! He's got a special feel for hotrodding, bringing a certain nostalgic touch to the paintings he does. There is no admission cost for the Plaza Art Fair.

Saturday, September 23rd 10 am to 10 pm
Sunday, September 24th 11 am to 5 pm
